Sunday 24th of July

Sunday was a brilliant day but very long, especially after Saturdays three jobs, I was working at Battersea Park on the The London Sun Walk which raises money to fight against Breast Cancer.
I was working with the lovely Brierley Thorpe who I first met at the FACE conference in February. It was a really sunny and warm day and the participants were really enthusiastic, I did mainly eye designs but it was allot of fun.

Saturday 23rd of July

OMG what a day, probably one of my busiest days ever, it started at with a company barbecue 12noon to 3pm, then my next job was just 2.4 miles a way, a birthday party for another really nice family with really polite and lovely children, my little fairy below is from the birthday party., the party was from 3:30pm to 5:30pm.
Then to my final job at a theater 7pm to 11pm for a disco for teenagers with disabilities. It was a great job, I did it last year with my good friend Karla Barchieri and we paired up again this year.

By the time I got home I was shattered and all I could do was have something to eat and bed.

Friday 22nd of July 2011

I had such a fantastic Friday, I did a birthday party for a lovely family, the weather was great and as I had so many faeries to paint I was really challenged to try and make each girl look different even though they all wanted to look the same. Here are some photos which I managed to take.

Today's job Papa Lion

I did a birthday party today and the father of the birthday boy wanted to get face painted, he had a great picture of Bob Marley on his t-shirt with lions so that's what I did for him, I think it really suited him but his facial hair was hard to hide on the muzzle but looks great on his chin.
One of the Ladies wanted a Peacock type mask so I did something like a a peacock feather but I used her dress as inspiration

Idid a face painting job for a adults birthday party
and it was so much fun all the guest wanted something done and I had so much fun trying to create all there mad ideas of what they wanted to be painted.

Super busy few weeks

I Painted at the Disney Premier of Cars 2 and we where hired for one hour to paint as many children as possible, these were some of the things I did not great but very quick and the kids loved it.

I painted these at an adult corporate company party it was great, the staff where divided in to teams of colors and they a played all kinds of games, they had giant bouncy castle, massage, face painting and the incredible Miss ballooniverse (http://www.missballooniverse.co.uk/)was there doing her amazing balloon models and later on there was A LOT of champagne floating around. What a great party!

I Painted this at a childrens birthday party, after all the kids had their faces painted and some balloon models the adults started coming over, I did't have much time to get lots pictures but I managed to get this one which I was really pleased with.

Busy Weekend

Some pictures of the children at the second party on Saturday, we had such a great time, the kids had a bouncy castle on the street and I set up on the pavement, luckily the weather held out and I managed to paint 27 kids in the two hour but they all wanted more they just could not enough .

One of the Staff at the Cinema where I worked on Saturday .

Cousins who love Ben10
I just would not be the same if I didn't paint a spiderman and Tiger.

I always hope that I can get two jobs on the same day but as I don't have party time slots and fit in to the times the parents need me its some times just impossible, well this weekend it happened both Saturday and Sunday.
To My surprise on Friday I had Saturday free but then in the afternoon two call and two bookings for Saturday, one in the morning at a Cinema doing promotion for Pirates of the Caribbean 9am to 12noon then another birthday party 5pm to 7pm. Sunday I had two birthday party next to where I live, luckily the first parents adjusted there party time so that I could be there and paint for them.
All the girls painting, forgot to upload these picture last week.

Sunday 15 May 2011

Today I hosted my second face painting class at Flaxon Ptootch , Salon/Gallery at 237 Kentish Town RoadCity, London NW5 2JT (Tammy and Michael for letting me use the space) and what a great time we had, I was really luck to have a great bunch of students all very eager to learn how to face paint.

The organizing side of things was not my favorite bit, chasing people for deposits, making sure I had enough people in the class, last minute drop out, all of that was a bit of a nightmare but it did somehow all come together in the end.

We managed to get through a lot in a small amount of time and I think the end results look fab especially as some of the students had never painted before. Hopefully the class has given them loots to get started and be inspire to keep improving their skills as face painters be that as a professional painter or just for fun with there kids.

Sunday 24 April 2011

Working for Cadbury's Easter Egg Hunt with The National Trust at Ham House, I was working with my great friend Karla and it was a beautiful sunny day, we had a long queue all day long so after a while we decided it was time to do fast designs and people were trilled with what we did and happy to wait.
We did lots of bunny's, butterflies and Easter themed designs all the kids were happy even the little boy who was adamant he wanted to be spider man in the end he got a spider bunny.
Back tomorrow for my face painting in the sun.

Thursday 21 April 2011

Things have been busy with the children off on Easter Holidays and I haven't had much time to add these pictures from the last day at Westfield Shopping Centre. I had a great time working there but I'm now ready for the next challenge Easter! I hope to get lots of pictures in the next few days.

Sunday 3 April 2011

First Body Painting

So here it is my first ever Body painting! its been a long time coming but I finally managed to do it, it took me three hours to do and thanks to my very patient model Ana I think it did not turn out too bad for my first attempt.
I had the DVD of the fabulous Mark Reid on stand by to assist me when I needed to remember what to do next, his instructions are so clear and I would definitely recommend it to any one wanting to paint a pair of blue jeans.
We completely ran out of time towards the end so I had to rush things a bit which was a shame and we only had 20min to take pictures but I'm so happy to finally had a go.

Thank you to Ana Carvalho my model.
