Saturday was brilliant I was working at Poplar Fire station and it was a lovely warm day arrived on time set up and was ready to paint nice and early, the fire crew at Poplar were great, very help full and made sure I had every thing I needed and with an endless supply of tea, coffee and juice I could not ask for more. It was bit slow to start but once the children started having there faces painted that was it non stop from 11am to 4pm must have done over 60 children faces my favorite was a boy that wanted an Indiana Jones face, he had the hat and the whip and so I thought a bit and remembered what Brian Wolfe had told me how he painted a cowboy face, so I painted the boy to look a bit dirty with some grimas dark gold and gave him some mean eyes some menacing eyebrows some open cuts on his face with blood dripping and some stubble, he looked great and he left very happy and his dad was blown away and would not stop taking pictures.
I also did about five Jokers from the new batman movie which was brilliant as I had never done one before. It was a long day with no breaks but it was allot of fun.
Sunday I was working for an Agency promoting there services at a huge event in Swiss Cottage(London)The Perfect day Street party(?). I arrived way too early and ended up helping set up which I really did not mind as I was blowing up loads of balloons so not very stressful, the venue looked great and I started to face paint at around 12noon it got very busy as the agency was putting on performances every hour, but I loved it! I do prefer when it busy keeps me on my toes and gets the imagination going, did the usual lots of butterflies, tigers and spiderman but I did get to do a new flower face which I loved but unfortunitely no pictures.
My family met me at the event and my son had his face painted and you guessed it he wanted to be a tiger but these time a blue tiger so it was a bit different.I finished at 5pm and and was ready to collapse.

Peter Pan prenatal belly painting

So I finally got the chance to do another belly painting I'm so pleased with the result, some parts ended up being rushed but over all I'm really happy. My model and I could not choose which design to go for but I'm glad we choose Peter Pan. I'm hoping to do another few with my current model but its all time permitting of course.
Last week job at the Polo in the park went really, it was hard work but there was a great team of face painters which was fantastic to be part of and it only rained a bit and most of the time we had beautiful sunshine a real bonus.

Off to face paint at Polo in the Park in Fulham, should be a very interesting day as its predicted to rain all day, I was there yesterday with with a team of face painters and after the slow start (due to staff trying to set up the Gazebo) we had a great day but I was a bit chilly so two layers of every thing today to help with the cold weather.

I'm quite excited as I have finally found a model for a my prenatal belly painting project, I have so many designs which I want to do and it will be quite difficult to narrow it down but I will if I must. We are hoping to do the painting some time next week so I have some time to make my decision. will post the pictures as soon as I have them, in the mean time I'm uploading my first ever prenatal belly painting which was done in Brazil in 2008.
